Information on planning sites

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency prepares and commissions the planning of transport infrastructure projects. Regarding road sites, planning is carried out in cooperation with ELY Centres.

There are three ways to find out more about planning sites:

• Project Search
  • Use project search to find the website for a planning site. However, not all planning sites have websites.
     
•  Project card
  • Short presentation materials have been prepared for significant planning sites, i.e. project cards by transport route type: Road projects, rail projects and waterways.
     
•  Project map
  • The project map application shows ongoing project planning sites that are aiming for implementation, i.e. ongoing and completed general plans, road and railway plans and water permit plans. However, the project map application does not include planning sites for which the date of implementation is unknown.

Funding for the construction of planning sites has not yet been allocated from the state budget.
